Saffron has a lot of health benefits among which are its use in the treatment of headaches, allergies, depression, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia and other chronic ailments. Besides these health benefits, saffron has also been used in the production of many beauty products over the ages. One of the reasons for this is because saffron has anti-inflammatory properties, which works against ageing, eczema, dead skin, etc.

Saffron has antibacterial and antiseptic properties, and as a result can fight off acne and pimples, thereby providing for youthful glowing skin. For dark circles around the eye, add 2 tbsp of buttermilk to a pinch of saffron and apply around your eyes. Wash off with cool water after 20 min.
4. Saffron as Night Cream
To use Saffron as a night cream, make a paste by mixing yoghurt, milk and Saffron together. Apply on your face and leave overnight. Then wash off with a light cleanser in the morning. Or just mix a pinch of saffron with your moisturizer and then clean off in the morning. You may want to do this at least twice a week for younger and beautiful looking skin.
